Christmas in Galeburg-Day 1

We arrived in Galesburg Friday afternoon and headed straight to Grandpa's work to meet Santa Claus! Great thing about Galesburg- there is always a train for the kids to get excited about. This one was right outside of Grandpa's office!

Each year, Grandpa's company invites all the kids and grandkids to meet Santa and receive a gift. Alaric was so excited to talk to Santa!
Mara...not so excited. Look at that face!
Al got a crane with a claw- Santa sure does know Alaric!
After some warming up...and some candy- Amara headed over to see the Big Guy!
She got a car!
Back to Nana and Grandpas- here Mara and Grandpa share some drawing time and some conversation.
Then the kids opened a few gifts early. They each got nesting Santas. It starts off as a big santa and then you keep opening and opening and the little dolls get smaller and smaller. Al shows off how small his Santa can get!
Mara and I just tried to get the doll open!
Look at the cuties in their candy cane stripes!
We stripped down to get into jammies when we realized it was snowing. The kids went running to the window to see.
Well...they also love being naked so they danced and ran around and jumped off of furniture!
Then they got cookies and milk ready for Santa Clause...who Nana asked to come a bit early.

Video of Amara having no fear as she jumps off of the ottoman!
