Nelson Family Reunion

After a really busy and fun day with the immediate Nelson Family, today was the annual extended Nelson Family Reunion. A chance once a year to pull as many together as possible. It's the 52nd Annual actually so they've been doing this for quite awhile.

Here is Brian trying to look professional after being nominated to serve as President of the planning committee for the next year ( everyone has to do it at some time!)

Brian and I were in charge of fun and games for the 3rd year in a row. This year, we decided to do Minute to Win it games. You all know we love them and they are great for little kids and old people and they are easy to do! They ended up being a huge hit! Tyler keeps three balloons in the air....

Grandma and Barb roll marbles to see who can get 5 stuck on the tape first.

These 4 tried getting 6 penne pasta tubes onto a spaghetti noodle.

Log competes against Bob to see who can get the marked cup back to the beginning first.

Relay races....picking up grocery sacks with your teeth ( no hands or knees down on the ground to help you...its harder than it looks).

Tick Tac Toe with ping pongs.

And no Nelson reunion is complete without the traditional water balloon toss. Mara loved actually being able to participate this year.

overall, a pretty amazing weekend! Love to all the Nelsons!
