Update

This is Brian. I am writing on Katie's behalf. The procedure went very smoothly. All of the cancer was removed with the first incision and was confirmed by pathology. We kept the feeling in the procedure room light-hearted and we are very thankful for Dr. Youse and Nurse Hope. Katie is now resting. She expressed to me how wonderful it was to have so mnay people praying and thinking of her. She also has said what a great relief it is to be cancer-free! Thank you to everyone. We appreciate your words, gifts, and well wishes. I am sure that Katie will be posting for herself (at great length and with much more detail) very soon.
