Labor Day in Chicago!

Friday was Brian's sister Anita's birthday and today is Brian's dad's birthday so we headed to Chicago yesterday to celebrate and be together. After seeing that the lines to the Aquarium were over an hour long, we headed to the Planetarium. They have the best view of the City Skyline anywhere!
Our family!
Aunt Anita and her boyfriend, Uncle Joe
Nana and Grandpa and the kiddos!
All the Fultons!
Alaric and Amara pretend to be astronauts
Amara and Uncle Joe go exploring on the moon's surface
Alaric practices landing on the moon
We saw two shows! We were the only ones who had two back to back in the same room so we just hung out in the theatre all by ourselves. Alaric checks out the front row.
We sat in the back row- it was amazing. We saw a Sesame Street one for the kids and an adult one about stars that kept everyone's attention.
We stopped off at a park with this incredible climbing structure. Everyone had fun climbing

Amara, with alittle help, climbed to the top!
So did Al- and he really did do it all by himself!
Getting Alaric down was the hard part-and getting Bob down too!
This picture is a perfect "Mara" shot!
Back to the hotel for a quick jumping session before heading out for dinner at Lou Malnati's
We had to wait outside with atleast a hundred other people, no kidding- for well over an hour. We ordered beers and stood around. When we finished beers, we walked to the corner and threw them out. The kids helped- Classy, right?

the kids liked hiding the buzzer thing that tells us when our table was ready- favorite place for both kids? Their pants, of course!
The pizza was amazing and Bob said it was his "perfect" meal! Mara mostly ate butter!
Back to the hotel for bedtime stories- what a day!

Mara shows off her super strong arms at the dinner table!

I am so loving Amara's scrunchie face when she smiles for pics. Cracks me up!
