Neighborhood Under Construction

Our neighborhood is under construction and Alaric is in heaven. Our neighbors across the street have been painting their house for a few weeks and now their roofer will start. Our next door neighbors haven't started yet but will be getting a new roof and siding ( damage from the storms in May) and our new neighbors across the street are doing TONS! They had a new roof and chimney put on this past week and today were having heavy brush clearing and landscaping done.

We decided this morning to head over to the neighbors and watch them tear down the handicap ramp that had been there from the previous owners. We just sat in their driveway and watched.

The workers used this little bulldozer to just knock over the ramp. They used the bucket to pull posts out of the ground, break down the ramp and pull the deck off the patio. We were all impressed. The whole thing was down to the ground in less than 10 minutes.
Once the worker got this deck flipped over and onto the ground, we all clapped!

What fun!

Busy afternoon ahead of us....kids at a Carnival B-Day party at 2PM( down now for early naps) and then headed over to a girlfriend's house bringing dinner to share with her and her 4 kids since our hubbies are working late. More pics soon!
