The End of Summer is Near!

Wednesday the weather was so nice when the kids got up from nap, I dragged the pools into the driveway, put on the swimsuits, and invited the neighbors over to play for what could be the last swim party of the year. While Alaric waited for the neighbors to change, he did circles in his pool. Amara did the same in hers.
Here are the big girls and Alyssa. The new neighbors, Stella and Sylvia came over too! So much fun!
Today, my friend Lisa and her two kids along with Alyssa came over to play in the yard. They all sat up on the stairs perfectly and ate their snack...all 5 were lined up but when I ran in the house to get my camera, guess who got off the steps....yup, Mara! She's fussing in the background!
Our new neighbors and friends, The Millers, gave me some bulbs to plant in our yard. So, after dinner tonight as the sky grew dark, we all worked together to dig big holes in our terribly clay-filled dirt and planted bulbs. We are not sure what the bulbs will bring this spring but they are in the ground now and we hope you enjoy them- thanks Millers!
Alaric was in charge of water. Bri and I dug holes, he watered, we planted bulbs, covered, and he watered again- he's very good at what he does!

Mara was just excited to get dirty and walk around with a work glove!

Teamwork!
