Then we decided to take our neighbor's advice and measure our kids on the wall on their first day of school. Amara had a hard time standing still but we got her!

Alaric found his backpack and he was ready to go. He put it on with his jammies and wouldn't take it off till it was time to get his school clothes on.

This was our attempt at a family picture. Alaric was done with the photo shoot and Amara was not cooperating.

Huge honor....Alaric was asked to bring snack on the first day of school. You would have thought he had died and gone to heaven. This is him gripping his snack cups for dear life before getting the snack bag from daddy. Kisses all around.

Two and a half hours later, we returned to pick him up. Here, his teacher, Mrs. Winterbottom, gives ALaric a WAY TO GO sticker!
Off to McDOnalds for an icecream cone, our family tradition of icecream on the first and last days of school. Mara was eager for a lick.
He told us about his day as he finished his cone and played in the play area.
What a fun day! He'll be at Kairos Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays this year! Happy First Day of School, Alaric!
