Today was Alaric's 2nd Karate Tournament. He was so excited and so ready. He had been practicing for weeks.

Alaric bowed in to the judges
And began with respect
He gave a powerful performance, very focused....
And broke a board...the first of the tournament and on the first try!
Look at that face full of happiness and pride as he bows to Sensai.
He knew that meant he had earned his blue belt- he was ready
He stood still, with his board in hand and his new belt on- so determined to show respect( even though we knew he wanted to shout from the rooftops!)
At the end of the tourney, he got to spar. He is not the most forceful of boys but he did amazing and took the initiative to get in the first kicks and punches.
He took a few too but handled it well
Bubba- we are so proud of you and your accomplishments today!
