Today we celebrated Dad's birthday and it was wonderful. Really wonderful. To chill at their house and be together. The kids played in the yard for awhile and Papa came out to watch- he loves to just take it all in.
We ordered pizza for dinner. Alaric not only helped set the table but trained Jack to do it. So sweet to see them do this work together.
No gifts this year- way too much going on. Papa couldn't have cared less. Everyone made cards. And Proud Papa sat patiently and beamed as each grandchild came up and gave their cards and read them.

All Papa needed for his birthday was these four happy kiddos!
