The Scoville Zoo in Decatur!

THursday is free admission to the Scoville Zoo in Decatur so I planned to take my two kids and the 3 neighbors today for the zoo and a picnic lunch. Then, the mom of the kids I watch got the day off since she worked a night shift last night and decided to come with us. THen, the other neighbor, Staci and her daughter and twins she babysits decided to come. THEN, my girlfriend, Lisa and her two boys decided to come too.

So on this beautiful Thursday- we had 4 moms and 10 kids ( and 4 strollers).

Alaric and Amara check out the eagles.

The kids enjoy an observation deck.

Alaric liked the drinking fountain the best.

We all had fun making faces in the cutouts!

We were able to get so close to the animals- it was great.
They had a wonderful petting zoo with goats and llamas, and bunnies, and chicks, and roosters, and cows.
Tanner and Alaric check out the chicks- baby chicks that is!

Mara did pretty great. She even touched a few!
Cheetas
Tanner and AlaricThat's a real alligator and yes, we are that close!
Katlyn, Nolan, and BeccaAlaric and I loved the trainride that took us all over the zoo and through a dark tunnel!

Alyssa, Lori, and Hannah did too!

Big hit of the day was the tortoises.
Addison, Aubry, and Katie spent lots of time watching!
The reptile house was awesome!

The kids walked with the birds.
The endangered species carousel was awesome! Amara loved it so much, I literally had to rip her fingers away from the pole she was holding.
We finished the day with a picnic together- all 14 of us and headed home for naps!
