Play, Play, and more Play!!!

With only a few more days til the elementary kids go back to school, we've been playing our hearts out taking advantage of the beautiful weather and the wonderful friends we have.

Here we are at my girlfriend, Lisa's house. We got out the slip n slide and baby pool and set the kids free. We had 8 kids under 5 with 4 moms. It was a blast!
Alaric loved the slide!
Ashley had so much fun in the water.

Amara really didn't care that much for the water- she fussed quite a bit. When the time came to stip the kids down and get ready for lunch- Amara escaped from me and headed for the getaway car.
She was not happy when she realized the car didn't move.
Thursday we had a TON of kids at the park together. Sierra and Becca were watching the two new little neighbor girls and their cousin, I had 4 kids, and Staci had 3. So- we headed to Lincoln School with our strollers. We had 2 adults and 12 kids under 12. It was crazy at times but so much fun!
Everyone took turns getting the little kids down the slides!

Everyone wanted to go down the big slide!
Amara discovered the climbing wall.
THe big kids help keep the little ones entertained.
While the big ones ran around on the play equiptment, Amara discovered an empty water bottle. She sat by herself away from everyone else for atleast 5 minutes in the blazing sun and put one tiny rock after another in the bottle.
She's so focused!
Here are our 9 neighborhood kids on North North Charter Street!
Later that afternoon when it was just my own little munchins, we rocked out!
We read books
And we sat on the floor outside of the kitchen to share our day with daddy while he cooked.
Friday morning I had scheduled a playdate with my own two kids and two others, Kelton and Emmie. I ended up having all my neighborhood kids too so we had a party.
I got out our new, larger baby pool in the early AM to fill up before our guests arrived and realized quickly how few toys kids really need! They are easily entertained by the smallest thing. ALso, you don't need water in a pool to have fun. The kids had a great time with just a few toys in an empty pool. What fun!
Once everyone got there, we did decide to fill the pools!

We had 9 kids and 2 moms for lunch.!
What a wonderful week of playdates and fun this has been!
