If you didn't read the previous post about some of my health concerns, you may want to start a few posts down and then read this or you will be very confused.
My pain recently has been increasing and spreading to very sensitive parts making life very difficult and very scary with so many unknowns. The last few days have been filled with doctor's appointments- here is the update as of Tuesday...
Well, it's been an interesting couple of days. No definates but some glimmers of hope. My random chiropractic visit yesterday scheduled weeks ago before any of the Linchen Planis stuff proved to be the most important as Dr. Adams has LP and she connected me with her doctors and actually called and made my appointments for me for today and everything when I was told I couldn't get in until September.
My first appointment with a gyn-specialist today was great. Brian was with me and we asked a ton of questions about all my sensative issues-Anyway- THANK THE LORD, she doesn't see any LP vaginally and thinks that me putting that topical cream down there on Thursday night and sent me into a tail spin and that I really am having an allergic reation. She says the stuff I'm putting on my mouth is super strong and can stay in my system for up to 100 days. YIKES. We scheduled a biopsy of the tissue for 2:30- and I headed to my next appointment, the dentist.
Dentist thinks my mouth is jacked up and tender and sore and definately having problems but doesn't see yeast or bacteria and doesn't see any signs of typical LP. Hmmmm....she backpeddled however and said it still could be but LP doesn't affect the lips as much as mine are being and she wants a mouth biopsy and some mouth cultures to see what else is going on. Since my husband wants to beat up my dermatoligist PA for telling me to put the cream for my face on my sensative privates, we've decided not to do mouth cultures with derm and rather a peridontist who does pathology. Since the dentist had some apprehensions about LP diagnosis and couldn't be really firm, I really didn't want a biopsy of vaginal tissue and being down for the count for two days on the chance.
I now have a gyn specialist who is a pistol and told me to call her whenever ( you all know I will- poor doctor). Changing primary doctors to Dr. Marty in town as she has experience with LP and other auto-immune diseases. Gyn and Dentist want to pursue my complaints about joint pain, etc as this all could be related and could point to other disorders, all of which seem to be auto -immune and challenging but different.
So, I'm in better space than yesterday which was better than the day before so I'm on the right path. I'm getting nothing done with my kids gone but feeling like things are moving into place. It was the right week for them to be gone and all this stuff is way more important than any laundry or work I wanted to get done. Still so many unknowns and still quite a bit of pain but hanging on!
