Alaric's First Day of School!!!!

Today was Alaric's first day of school. And while it's his 3rd year of preschool, this year is exciting because he's in Pre-K and he's going 5 mornings a week, AND he's going to a new school. He is now at Lincoln Elementary School and part of their Small Wonders Pre-K program. It's public school, it's a few blocks away from us, and we are all so excited!

Alaric however was most excited to get a new folder this morning
and a new backpack ( can you tell we are into Super heros right now?)
Daddy surprised Alaric with a special, homemade breakfast- CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES!!!
In our house, you get you use the special red plates on your special day. This was Alarics and he was so excited to get to use the red plate, bowl, and mug!
Mara wanted to be just like her BuBu so she too wore her backpack.
Look at these cute kiddos!
Big Kid! Ready for Pre-K!
Alaric and his partner
me and my angel ( I'm going to miss him so much every morning)
And off he went running down the street
until I caught up with him and we walked together.
Lincoln Elementary School... Alaric's school for the next 3 years.Alaric reads a book with the statue children
Are you kidding me? Could he be cuter or older looking?

This is how Amara arrived at school this morning
Alaric's teacher had a baby earlier in the week. Mrs. Taylor will be his sub for the next 3 months. Mrs. Muenster is his aide as well. Here they hand out nametags!
One last kiss before lining up. Amara began to get panicky as she realized BuBu was leaving her.She thought for sure she could go inside with the big kids. That's why she brought her backpack, right?Bye Alaric! Have a great morning!!!
Well, Alaric had a great morning at school with the highlight being that he got to play on the playground with the kindergarteners, including his girlfriend and neighbor, Alyssa!!
Myself and another set of parents waiting outside ( the wrong door) for 10 minutes for pickup today. When we didn't see our kids with their teachers but we saw busses pulling away, we quickly realized our kids got on the bus. We flagged down the bus and pulled our scared and crying kids off the bus. Alaric's response..."You forgot to pick me up. I'm upset with you...but I' was alittle excited to get to ride the bus too!" I promised him he could ride atleast once this year.
With tradition, we headed to McDonalds for icecream!
Brain freeze!!!!Since Alaric didn't want to share, Amara got her own cone- it was as big as she was!
Summer is over and the school year have begun! We are so excited for Alaric to learn new things, meet new friends, and have an incredible year!

Didn't I just see the kiddos? How is it possible they are bigger already? I love the photos of Al from the past to present!
