Fulton Update

Y'all! We have SO much going on! We leave for Spain in ONE WEEK! Brian and I haven't even thought about packing, we haven't started lists for the kids and we are just throwing this all together last minute. There is something kinda exciting about it all though.

We are traveling by ourselves. The kids will be with Nana and Grandpa for 4 days in Galesburg and then doing sleepovers and mornings at my brother and sister-in-laws and afternoons at Grammy and Papa's for 4 days. They will have a blast!

We decided to pack light- we are only bringing carry-ons. Free of kids, free of stress, free of STUFF!!!! I'm not sure how it'll go but I'm excited for the opportunity to try!

Everyday life, shopping for necessities, pulling together V-Day surprises for the kids, and hosting lots of little playdates and people has been very time consuming. Brian is recovering well from surgery. If you didn't know, he has a Vascectomy on Jan 21st. No more Fulton Babies. The recovery was more difficult that anticipated but he's finally back to running and lifting this week.

The kids are amazing. You should hear Amara- she's a talking FOOL. She is super smiley and has been doing great. I bet she has 25 words now and will try to repeat almost anything you say.

Alaric is great too. The biggest, most exciting news EVER is that we are on DAY FIVE of poopin in the potty! That has been a year and a half in the making. As you know, his bowel concerns had us focusing on his health and not his poopy potty training. Now that we seem to have him healthy, we;ve been challenging him and he's been doing it! YEAH!! He still poops dring the night, overnight, almost every night because of his high dose of Miralax but we are moving in the right direction. He is still taking an iron suppliment 3 times a day which has done wonders. We are in the OFF month of our three month trial with Prevacid. We went on the Prevacid two months ago and saw changes overnight. We assumed that when we took him off, his terrible symtoms of tummy aches, pains, etc would come back too. So far, they have not. We are not sure what that means yet and we will schedule a follow-up with his GI but for now, we are overjoyed for the progress Alaric has made and how healthy he seems to be now! Oh, and he still is the most verbal child we've ever met, he's obsessed with firetrucks and all things transportation, and thinks his Daddy is the coolest!!!!
