The work continues

We are only one week away from our 5th Anniversary party and we are overjoyed to have very little to do on the house between now and then. I know we will be overwhelmed with lots of other things but they shouldn't involve construction. For example, here's our Monday:

I have the 3 neighbor kids so I have 5 kids total. 8AM-Stanley Steamer arrives to clean all the carpets on the first floor.9AM- Farmer's Insurance Adjustor comes to see if we need a new roof after the storm. 10AM-library for scheduled summer reading program. 10:30AM Swim lesson for Alyssa. 11:30 home for lunch ( probably at neighbor's home because of the carpets) and down for early naps. 1:30 PM Up from naps and getting all dressed up in fancy dresses and hats for the neighborhood Tea Party at Junes House. 2PM-everyone excluding Amara-6 kids over to June's house for a fancy tea party. 5:30PM babysitter arrives along with our friends and their two kids. 4 kids are staying at our home while the two couples go out for dinner and drinks- THANK GOD!!!! That's just Monday!

Anyway- last night after Mara went to sleep we headed outside with beers and paint brushes to work on the front porch. We only got 3/4 of the spindles done because the neighbors began to gather and drink but we did plenty. We will get the rest done throughout the week.

Here's Alaric helping Daddy.
Look how serious I am
