May Market and Kirby Derby

Saturday mornig was the Kirby Derby and May Market in Monticello! The Kirby Derby is a 5K and 10K run/walk. It starts right by our home so we parked ourselves in our neighbor's front yard and watched everyone pass- even our next door neighbors, D and Staci. Alaric had fun clapping and cheering for all the runners.

He wanted to run too!

Then we headed to the May Market downtown...it's a celebration of plants and food and spring, etc. It's one of our favorite events of the year as the May Market was going on when Bri and I went to Monticello to check out the town. That day we decided Monticello was where we would look for a home and raise our family!

I brought all the neighbors down to the market- me and 7 kids!
