Collecting Items for Soldiers in Afghanistan
When a woman from my church was deploed to Afghanistan, our church decided to do an items drive for her. I sent three e-mails, one to my old school, one to THe Moms Group of Monticello, and one to the Principal of White Heath Elementary ( she is a friend of a friend). The Principal ended up contacting all the other principals and it turned out to be a HUGE items drive all over Monticello and Champaign. We collected HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of items to send oversees to soldiers! HEre there are before we unpacked them and sorted them!

Thank you for doing that! You will never know what a tremendous morale boost it is for the deployed when they receive items and packages-especially at holidays.
