Alaric's First Day at Preschool!!!!

It's Alaric's first day of school. He was so excited. He woke up happy and talking to himself in bed ( which is a huge deal). We ate a big breakfast of waffles, eggs, and bacon and got ready for our day!

He was so eager to get to Kairos. We have been reading books about preschool for weeks. This morning at breakfast he did ask if we could stay with him but you could tell he knew the answer and was OK with it.
Alaric tells Mommy all about what he's going to do at school today!
Daddy, Alaric, and Amara walk to Kairos preschool!
Karios ( which means "with God") is the only preschool in Monticello and is a Christian based school in the Presbyerian Church. They have a 2 1/2 class, a 3's class, and a 4&5's class. Alaric has two teachers. Mrs. Winterbottom ( yup, that's her name. We found out she is from Galesburg) and Mrs. Cook.

He's so ready to get inside!
Alaric has his very own locker. He has an animal on his locker so that he can recongnize which one is his- he's a duck-QUACK!
Alaric and Mommy match the oreo cookie shapes together. There are so many toys in his room!

Each child wears a nametag on his back for the first week.
Mommy and Daddy and Amara had just enough time to run a few errands and go home for a bit before picking Alaric back up. He loves his rolly Go Diego Go backpack and he met some new friends too!
As a special treat for his first day of school, we walked across the street to McDonalds for an ice cream cone!
Alaric loves Kairos Preschool!

What a big boy now! Kairos was the name of my big retreat in high school so I feel a special kinship to Alaric:)
