WIldlife Prairie pARK- A Family Trip!

Friday morning, The Fultons, The Dan Bechtels ( minus Jen), and The Grandparent Bechtels headed to Peoria to take in the Wildlife Prairie Park. It was so fun!

Grammy surprised V, Alaric, and Amara in the parking lot with their own gorillas! They became a favorite on the trip and all got named and carried constantly!

Here we all are before hitting the trails!
The eagles were a special treat

The big kids enjoyed pretending to be pioneers and farming the land the way they once did, by hand!

Alaric and Veronica climb the fence to see the horses

We took at break at a playground so the kids could run and swing and slide!
Papa and Alaric show off their shades in the nursery viewing area.

Veronica is smitten with Amara. She loved holding her hand and showing her around.

V and Uncle share a moment- and their white sunglasses!
We headed to the train depot to take a short train ride. Grammy and Veronica enjoy the train museum together.Alaric and Amara ride the rails together.
Grammy and Papa and their three angels!!

Grammy, Amara, and me!

After the train ride, we headed to Grammy and Papa's favorite restaurant just down the street- The Jubilee Cafe. They are known for their pies and their wonderful homecooked meals. We left there to head to Galesburg. Within minutes, Amara was asleep- with "betty" her new gorilla in hand.Alaric watched a movie while holding on to his new gorilla, "Keggie"

What a wonderful day together, thanks Grammy and Papa!
